Corporate Account

The requirements to open a corporate bank account in the UAE might be different for various banks.

Individual Account

Non-resident Account

Expats without residence visas can open only an NRE account in UAE and you cannot expect a checkbook with this account. However, ATM cards will be provided. Physical presence is not required to open an NRE account in Dubai.

Documents required to open a non-resident bank account in the UAE

  • passport with the UAE entry stamp (original and copy)
  • passport photo
  • completed application form
  • Bank statement from any of the existing bank account holding.
  • A brief profile of yours

One might be subject to a minimum or maximum balance in the case of a non-resident bank. Once you have your residency visa, you can open a current account.
