How Expo 2020 is going to mesmerize the world
Dubai, a city of dreams, has always been in news for its innovative strategies, booming business market and world-class attractions. A recent addition to the list is EXPO 2020, a festival of human ingenuity, that is going to be held in Dubai from October 20 to April 10, 2020. ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’ is the theme of the event.
The expo, deemed as ‘an economic catalyst’ for the UAE, is going to leave a huge impact on UAE business. It will act as a platform that brings together many of the world’s biggest companies and the most dynamic economies, thus nurturing global relationships and generating new business prospects. Many world class companies have signed up as partners for the event and participants from 180 countries are expected to be a part it. According to analysts, sectors such as construction, transportation, tourism, hospitality, retail, and leisure, are going to reap maximum benefits from the expo.
Out of the 25 million visitors expected, 70 percent of them will be from outside UAE, which will naturally provide a significant boost to the hospitality sector of the country. According to official announcements, 20% of the event’s total direct and indirect spend will be granted to local and international SMEs.
The World Expos, a trade exhibition that lures millions of visitors to the host country, are held once in five years. EXPO 2020 is going to be first of its kind to be held in MENA & SA (Middle East and North Africa & South Asia) region and it won’t be exaggerating to say that the event is destined to astonish the world.
